Quran Memorization Program

Per community request and feedback, the Bilal Quran Memorization Program will introduce several additional Quran sessions for different age groups.
A NEW! Group-based memorization program for children has been added.
Students will be repeating Quran verses after the imam until they memorize them.
The main characteristic of this type of teaching methodology is that a student doesn’t have to be proficient in reading Arabic. As a matter of fact, because the classes are based on repetition, they do not have to know any Arabic whatsoever.
Students will be meeting twice a week, depending on the age group.
Qur’an Academy provides a wide range of classes from basic to advanced memorization programs that are tailored to meet students’ needs.

Group-based Memorization (Tilawah) for children
Memorization by simple repetition
Course Objectives
- Memorize juz’a or more, depending on the student’s ability, without an Arabic literacy requirement.
- Children repeat Quran verses after the imam, slowly memorizing verse after verse and progressing to the next surah collectively as a group.
- Prepare students to advance to memorization classes.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years old, potty trained
- Able to follow directions and stay focused for 60 minutes
Memorization (Hifz) Program
Advanced Level for Children & Youth
Course Objectives:
- Memorize juz’a or more, depending on the student’s ability.
- Improve students’ reading skills.
- Learn the basic tajweed.
- Learn to read the Qur’an with proper tajweed.
- Be prepared to join the advanced Hifz
Requirements:
- At least 6 years old.
- Able to read words and sentences.
- Assessment testing will be conducted before joining the program.
Memorization for Adults
Course Objectives
- Memorize juz’a or more, depending on the student’s ability.
- Improve students’ tajweed
- Help students memorize the Holy Qur’an according to his/her ability.
Requirements:
- At least 15 years old.
